Refund Policy

1. Free Trial
FreelaMe offers a free trial period so you can evaluate the Service before subscribing. We encourage you to make full use of your trial before committing to a paid plan.
2. Subscription Payments
Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period. By default, we do not offer refunds for the current billing period once a payment has been processed.
3. Exceptions - When We Do Refund
We will issue a full or partial refund in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate charge: If you were charged more than once for the same period
- Service unavailability: If the Service experienced significant downtime (more than 24 consecutive hours) during your paid period
- Charged after cancellation: If you were charged after properly cancelling your subscription
- 14-day cooling-off period: Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, if you are a consumer (not purchasing as a business) and subscribed for the first time, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first charge - provided you have not made substantial use of the Service during that period
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at support@freela.me with:
- Your registered email address
- The date of the charge
- The reason for your refund request
We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Billing Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period - you retain access until then. No further charges will be made after cancellation.
